You've probably heard the saying "happy wife, happy life".
But what makes a wife happy? What about husbands? And what do you need to do to make your partner happy and loved?
What makes a wife happy? What about husbands? And what do you need to do to make your partner happy and loved?
In today's relationship tip, you will learn three simple ways to make your partner happy!
Let's begin!
Tip 1: Listen to your partner
In other relationship tips, such as Practice Active Listening, I have talked about the importance of good listening in creating a happier and more loving relationship.
In fact, being a good listener is a critical skill for any successful relationship. When you listen to your partner, you show them that you care about them and their thoughts and feelings.
Listening well also allows you to understand your partner and their needs better. This can then help you meet those needs more effectively.
Being a good listener is a critical skill for any successful relationship.
To practice good listening, the next time your partner speaks to you, make sure you give them your undivided attention. Do not be distracted by other things going on around you. Make eye contact, focus on their words and reflect back on what your partner is saying to make sure you understand.
Other important listening skills include:
-avoid interrupting your partner
-refrain from giving your opinion or advice until your partner is finished speaking
-ask your partner open-ended questions to encourage them to share their thoughts and feelings more, and
-end the conversation positively, such as by giving your partner positive feedback on something they have said.
Tip 2) Make Time For Your Partner
It can be difficult to find time for anything in our busy world. And if you are feeling stretched thin, making time for your partner may be the last thing on your mind.
Despite this, making quality time with your partner is a must! If you do not spend quality time together, your partner will feel neglected and unimportant. This can cause serious problems in an otherwise happy relationship.
How much quality time should you spend with your partner? There is no magic number, but I would suggest aiming for two hours per week. If you do not have children, aim for even more!

Once you have made quality time with your partner, spend this doing things you both enjoy. Quality time should be relaxing, fun and full of positive emotions to help you both feel closer.
It is also essential to avoid distractions during quality time, such as phones and other technology. This will give you and your partner the time and space to communicate without any outside influences.
Tip 3: Make your partner feel special
To create a happy and loving relationship, it is important that both partners feel special. This means that you should do things that make your partner feel loved and appreciated.
Some ways to make your partner feel special include:
- tell your partner that you love them
- thank your partner for the little things that they do around the house
- give your partner a special gift for no particular reason, or
- take your partner out for dinner to their favourite restaurant.
However you show your partner that they are special, do at least one thing every day to show your love. While this may take effort to begin with, you will find that the benefits of these actions will quickly make them worthwhile.
